The Intention of Mending
Do Not Be Dismayed
‘Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world.
All things break. And all things can be mended.
Not with time, as they say, but with intention.
So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally.
The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you.’
L.R. Knost
Intention is everything. It is the most overlooked tool in the tool bag.
What does intention require? Focus.
Your focus is the single most impactful determination of your success, no matter what the goal is.
You can “mess up” an awful lot, but if your focus is in the right place, and your intention is clear, those mess ups will simply be stumbles along your path, not failures.
Working with animals can be challenging, particularly when they come with a history that is unknown to us. A history that many people might call ‘broken’ or wounded.
When your intention, and therefore your focus, is in the right place, together it is possible to heal not just your pets, but wounds you didn’t even know you had.
The power comes from holding the intention and then allowing the journey of mending to unfold on its own. Allowing the path to reveal itself like the sun reveals the world at dawn.
